Overview
This case study covers Hacienda de Samotracia — a premium events venue and luxury estate in the Chihuahua desert, Mexico. We designed and built a digital presence that captures the warmth and elegance of the property — from immersive photo galleries to a seamless booking experience, all wrapped in a brand identity that reflects its distinctive character. The 1,606-square-metre property offers outdoor ceremonies, seated dinner reception for up to 200 guests, and private retreat accommodation — all of which needed to be communicated through photography and design that matched the estate's premium positioning.
The engagement covered brand identity creation — logo, color palette, and typography — alongside full website design and development with immersive photography curated from a professional shoot at the estate. The site features bilingual content in English and Spanish, responsive design optimized for mobile browsing, and an integrated enquiry system that routes booking requests directly to the property manager. The property spans 1,606 square metres with indoor and outdoor event spaces, a private chapel, and boutique accommodation — each featured in dedicated gallery sections with a digital experience as premium as the estate itself.
The Challenge
The hacienda had no digital footprint. Potential clients — brides, event planners, retreat organizers — had no way to discover the property online or understand what made it special. The challenge was to translate the warmth, scale, and luxury of a physical desert estate into a website that felt equally premium. Competitors in the Chihuahua events market had established online presences with booking systems, review integrations, and photo galleries — Hacienda de Samotracia needed to close this gap quickly while maintaining a brand identity that set it apart from generic venue directories.

The digital launch transformed Hacienda de Samotracia from an undiscoverable desert property into a searchable, bookable luxury venue. Within the first month, the website began ranking for targeted event venue queries in Chihuahua — a market where the property previously had zero online visibility. The immersive photo galleries, optimized through Cloudflare's image pipeline with automatic WebP conversion, load in under 2 seconds even on the 4G mobile connections common in rural Chihuahua. The bilingual English-Spanish content serves both the local Mexican market and international destination-event planners researching venues for cross-border celebrations. Google PageSpeed confirmed a 97+ score across all pages, and the integrated enquiry system now captures leads that previously went to competitors with stronger online presence. The brand identity — logo, color palette, and typography — carries consistently from digital to print materials used at the estate.
